International Match: 2003 Bromley
The first quiz international match took place in Bromley (Greater London) in 2003. After contact had been laid with a British quiz organiser, some 50 Belgians took off to be part of quizzing history. A Belgian team of Nico Pattyn (Café Den Hemel, captain), Patrick Begaux (Kwizona), Leo De Haes (MVC) and Erik Derycke (Clockwork) went head to head with a British team comprising many Mastermind champions, including now multiple World Champion Kevin Ashman, later herhaaldelijk Wereldkampioen.
