NIEUWS OVER HET WK:

- RONNY SWIGGERS (Oostende) behaalt een opnieuw een schitterende 3e plaats op het WK 2010, dat plaatsvond op 63 plaatsen wereldwijd op 5 juni. Pat Gibson (Ierland) is de nieuwe wereldkampioen met een monsterscore van 180. Complete uitslag staat nu online

NIEUWS OVER HET EK:

- Het EK 2011 zal worden gehouden in BRUGGE van 4 tot 6 november.
- ENGELAND verslaat België in landenfinale. Finland grijpt brons.
- Alle titels voor een uitermate sterke Engelse delegatie dit jaar. Ronny Swiggers en Nico Pattyn eindigen resp. 5e en 6e in de individuele wedstrijd.
- Kandidaturen voor de organisatie van het EK 2012 kunnen ingediend worden. Download het benodigde formulier hier.
- Ronny Swiggers behoudt 3e plaats in op de Europese ranking en heeft goede vooruitzichten op 2e plaats na volgend WK.

Dit is de nieuwe site van de Belgische afdeling van de International Quizzing Association (IQA). Hier vind je nieuws over internationale quizzen: de organisatie, de vragen, de toekomst en de media. Wil je me e-mailen, druk hier.

De IQA is een internationale vereniging zonder winstoogmerk met hoofdkwartier in het VK en heeft als doel de status van het quizzen op te waarderen tot dat van andere denksporten zoals schaken, dammen en bridge.

De IQA wil dat bereiken door dienst te doen als overkoepelende organisatie voor quizzers en quizorganisatie uit de 5 continenten, evenals door nationale en internationale tornooiren te organiseren.
Het zal optreden als federatie van nationale of regionale quiz organisaties

De belangrijkste organisaties van de IQA zijn het EK en het WK

- The 2011 EQC will be held in BRUGES (Belgium), 4 to 6 November.
- ENGLAND wins national teams competition. MILHOUS WARRIORS claim team competition for the 3rd year in a row. OLAV BJORTOMT wins the individual title just in front of Tero Kalliolevo and Pat Gibson.

You have reached the web site of the Belgian branch of the International Quizzing Association (IQA). This will be the gathering place of relevant information on international quizzes, ranging from organisations, sponsorship, questions and the bright and shiny future. The IQA an international not-for-profit organisation, with headquarters in the UK , with as aim to elevate quiz worldwide to a status similar to that of other mind sports like chess, draughts or bridge.

The IQA will accomplish this by acting as a representative organisation for quiz players and organisations worldwide, as well as by organising or facilitating national and international competitions.
It will also serve as a joint body to consolidate national or regional quiz associations.

The major organisation of the IQA are the European and World Championships.
